Italian judge orders woman to serve meat to her son “at least once a week”

A judge in Bergamo was forced to rule on the diet of a child after a harsh disagreement between his divorced parents.

The mother, with whom the child lives, follows a strict macrobiotic regime and was refusing to give any meat to the boy. The father, with whom the child spends his weekends, abides to the local culinary tradition which is rich in meat. Horrified by the news that his son was not tasting any filling dish, the man went far beyond the obligations of tradition, taking the boy to a rare US fast food.

The Court ruled that the boy will eat meat at least once a week, but no more than twice during the weekend.

  1. I feel sorry for this child of divorced parents. It is unfortunate that court gets involved 😦 I am supporting the mother who feeds her child with the healthy diet and nourishes him throughout the week.
