The troubles of shooting an action movie in Rome

The next movie of the James Bond franchise, “Spectre”, starring Daniel Craig, Léa Seydoux and Monica Bellucci, is partly set in Rome and the scene in the Italian capital are being shot in these days.

However, the roads of the Eternal City won’t set aside their traffic jams and chronic maintenance problems for Mr Bond. In fact, not only the set is under siege by the angry locals, angered for the further burden to a city in which moving is already difficult, but the irregular pavement made the Aston Martin driven by Mr Craig too noisy. The scene was re-shoot over and over again until the director renounced and left to the post-production team the task of “clearing” the audio track.
