The world famous Gucci fashion trademark will have a new CEO and a new creative director who will replace Patrizio Di Marco and Frida Giannini, respectively. The decision was taken by the French mother company Kering, owned by Francois-Henri Pinault.
The announcement was shocking despite some rumors anticipating it.
According to the Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera, Mr Pinault reacted to some disappointing performances by Mr Di Marco and Mrs Giannini. Moreover, the CEO and the creative director shared a relationship who could make them appear too powerful in the governance of Gucci.
