Italian organized crime “fears Five Stars Movement”

After its recent crisis, the Italian Five Stars Movement scored a formidable propaganda victory after the leaked transcript of a bugged conversation between two Roman organized crime bosses revealed that they feared the Movement for its strict ethical code. In the two bosses’ opinion the politicians belonging to other parties could be easily bribed instead.

The two bosses, Mr Buzzi and Mr Carminati, had the same respect for District Attorney Giuseppe Pignatone, who indeed discovered and disrupted their organization.

The Movement launched yesterday the proposal of a referendum against euro triggering attacks from its direct competitor Matteo Salvini (Northern League) and from pro-EU President Giorgio Napolitano.
