The Italian cultural heritage: much love, no money

Everyone adores the Italian cultural heritage, but nobody is going to pay for it. This is not true only for the Government, but apparently for everyone.

The auctions of prized State assets failed miserably.

Mr Renzi’s Government is trying to amend the Constitution in order to, inter alia, ameliorate touristic promotion, while Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini has launched a plan to get some more visitors in the nearly empty Italian museums.

Blame the Government for the neglect of the Italian cultural heritage is a national sport, sometimes played also abroad, and UNESCO declared that many Italian assets are part of the world heritage. However, does anybody really care ?
