Strange adventures in the Italian seas

It’s not the title of a XIX century adventure novel, it’s a good description of what is happening in the Italian sea.

Two ships, a Danish one and a US one, left today the seaport of Gioia Tauro. The US ship was loaded with Syrian chemical weapons which had been transported to Gioia Tauro by the Danish one. They will be now neutralized in the high seas by the US crew.

Meanwhile, the Government announced that the Costa Concordia will be scrapped in Genoa, triggering an immediate protest by Greenpeace. According to the NGO, moving the wreck from off the Giglio Island to Genoa is a dangerous and potentially polluting operation.
