Italian futuristic works exposed at Guggenheim New York

A very rich exposition of works of the Italian Futurism is opening at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City.

Futurism, which reached its zenith in the first decades of the XX century, is probably the Italian artistic movement more charged with political significance. With its emphasis on technical progress, aggressive action and social Darwinism, it gave its contribution to the entry of Italy in World World I and the subsequent rise of Fascism. It is still the main cultural reference of Italian far-right political groups.
