According to the Italian heraldry rules, Mr Silvio Berlusconi is expected to lose his knighthood as soon as the Criminal Bench of the Milan Court of Appeals confirms his ban from public offices and honors.
The ban is a consequence of Mr Berlusconi’s conviction for tax fraud. It needs to be confirmed by the Court of Appeals for a technicality. The decision is expected in a few weeks.
In the meantime, the Senate plenum will probably vote to expel Mr Berlusconi, after its Jury recommended so.
