The new Italian Government won’t be able to exempt in whole or in part enterprises from the real estate tax due on their premises.
This option was considered in order to foster economic recovery, but was scrapped after a check of the public budget.
The real estate tax was introduced by the Monti Government, and has been hugely unpopular ever since. The new Letta Government will probably exempt at least the individual residences.
The confirmation of the tax on work places will contribute to keep Italy unattractive for investors.
